Lavender Flowers and Bumblebee Painting

Get ready to make a beautiful flower garden with some cute bumblebees buzzing around!

This craft is super fun and easy for kids to do.

You will need a few simple materials like paint, Q-tips, and your hands to create something magical.

Materials Needed:

  • White paper
  • Purple paint
  • Light purple paint
  • Green paint
  • Yellow paint
  • Fine-point black pen
  • Q-tips
  • Your fingertip for painting
  • A paintbrush (optional)

Instructions:

Draw the Stems:

  • Start by drawing stems with a pencil on your piece of paper. These will be the bases of your flowers. Look at the image for guidance!

Create Purple Flowers:

  • Dip a Q-tip into the purple paint.
  • Use the Q-tip to make little dots all along the stems as shown in the image. These dots will form the flowers!

Fill in the Gaps:

  • Now, dip a Q-tip in lighter purple paint and fill in any empty gaps on the stems with little dots of the lighter color. This will make your flowers pop with different shades!

Add the Grass:

  • Use green paint to create a grassy area at the bottom of the paper. You can paint it however you like—tall grass or short grass, it’s up to you!

Make Bumblebees:

  • Dip your fingertip into yellow paint and gently press it onto your paper to make the bumblebee’s body. Do this twice to make two bumblebees.
  • Let the yellow paint dry.

Draw Bumblebee Details:

  • Once the yellow paint is dry, use a fine-point black pen to draw lines inside the bumblebee’s body.
  • Add little wings, two eyes, a stinger, and two antennae. Now your bumblebees are ready to fly!

Final Touches:

  • Repeat the same steps to create another bumblebee for the second one.
  • Once everything is dry, your purple flower garden with buzzing bumblebees is complete!
